By accessing or using Type of Faith ("the Service"), available at typeoffaith.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Type of Faith is a free, browser-based typing practice application that uses Bible verses to help users improve their typing skills. The Service includes practice modes, lessons, quizzes, races, and multiplayer features.

3. Bible Content

Bible translations used in this Service that are in the public domain (such as KJV, WEB, FBV, BSB, and ASV) are provided for typing practice and spiritual reflection purposes.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, functionality, name, logo, and design are the property of Type of Faith and its creator. The Type of Faith name, logo, and brand identity are trademarks of Type of Faith. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent.

Type of Faith is an independently created and operated service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any other typing or Bible study website or service.

5. User Accounts

Some features may require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

6. User Data and Privacy

Type of Faith respects your privacy:

• Most user data (typing history, settings, preferences) is stored locally in your browser via localStorage.
• Account data (if you create an account) is stored securely on our servers and used only to provide Service features such as leaderboards and multiplayer.
• We use lightweight analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the Service. No personally identifiable information is sold to third parties.
• We use Google AdSense to display advertisements, which may use cookies to serve relevant ads.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Use automated tools to access the Service in a way that places undue load on our infrastructure
• Manipulate or falsify typing scores, race results, or leaderboard positions
• Use bots, scripts, macros, or other automated tools to inflate scores or complete challenges
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass anti-cheat validation measures
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws

8. Score Integrity

Type of Faith employs automated validation to ensure fair competition on leaderboards and in multiplayer modes:

• Scores are validated server-side against expected performance metrics. Submissions that fail validation may be automatically rejected.
• We reserve the right to remove scores that appear to be the result of cheating, automation, or exploitation.
• Repeated violations of score integrity policies may result in temporary or permanent suspension of leaderboard privileges.
• All score validation decisions are final. If you believe a score was rejected in error, contact us at hello@typeoffaith.com.

9. Donations

Type of Faith accepts voluntary donations through Ko-fi. Donations are non-refundable and do not entitle donors to any additional features or services unless explicitly stated.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Type of Faith and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
